1/10/2021 Firing the Engine

Since the starter now cranked the engine, it was time to see if the Bel Air would fire up. First, we removed the air cleaner and inspected the intake and carb. 

The starter cranked fast enough with the plugs out to determine that there was oil pressure. There was also spark at the plug wires. It was time. Herb's son, Herb, came over to turn the key!

Success!!!!

An oil change was coming soon so I had to find out what filter was used.
